Mexican Tortillas (Marie Bray)

Great. The only Tortilla recipe I’ve ever used where the Tortillas hung together once stuffed full of goodies.

1/4 cup cornmeal (fine)
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup hot water

  • Make porridge (mix & boil stirring)

1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup plain flour

  • Add

  • Knead

  • Cut into 8

  • Roll out into rounds

  • Cook on griddle - real slow, to very slight tan on oiled surface
