Chicken Niblets(Wings)

Very yum. Party snack, or serve with rice tossed with fried mushrooms. I even made a Kosher version for Pesach lunch.

16 chicken wings

  • Snip off tips
  • Separate each wing at the joint with poultry shears (be careful not to cut through the bone)

125 g butter

  • Melt

5 tablespoons soy sauce (original said 20 teaspoons!!)

  • Add to butter
  • Brush each chicken joint with butter and soy sauce

1 small cup flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

  • Mix
  • Roll chicken joints in flour mixture
  • Chill thoroughly - all day if you like.

  • cover baking tray with thin layer of oil
  • place tray in oven to heat (few min)
  • arrange chicken in a single layer - no overlaps
  • Cover and bake at 170 °C for 1 hour
  • Uncover and bake a further 10 min
