Vegetarian Sausage Rolls (Lorraine Alston)
A creation from my mum - Vegetarian sausage rolls. As a vegetarian she craved the heaviness of pastry wrapped stodge and came up with this. I remember these as good.
Vogels bread crumbs
Rice, cooked
Herb stock
Cheese, grated
Egg
Onions, chopped small
Mushrooms, chopped small
Tomato sauce
Savoury yeast
Soy sauce
Beans, chopped small (optional)
Mix.
Roll into sausage shape
Puff Pastry, Roll and/or cut.
Put sausage on pastry.
Roll up.
Bake.
