I am fascinated by military history and in particular the history of Spain and Portugal. But with my connections to New Zealand and Israel I've also acquired an interest in the wars of those nations as well. I aspire to having a Timeline and order of battle for each war I'm interested in. You might also find lists of rulers, descriptions of terrain, biographies and such like.
My interest in military history is closely associated with my interest in Wargaming. So I've included material on how to wargame each of the wars I cover. In particular what figures are available in my preferred scale (15mm), options for wargaming rules, and possible scenarios and campaigns.
Spain
My specialty is the
Military History of Spain and Portugal. The
Spanish bits that seem to interest people the most are Carlist Wars,

The Portuguese part of my speciality in the

includes Portuguese Explorers,

Portuguese Colonial War
New Zealand
A brief summary of the various wars involving New Zealand, with
additional details on the New Zealand Wars (1845-72),
and NZ in WW2 (1939-45)
Arab-Israeli
The Arab-Israeli wars from 1948 to the present. Most of my
material is on 1948.
