Conquest of New Mexico, 1528- ??

The Spanish conquest of New Mexico isn't a very popular period, and certainly not for wargamers, but it does seem to offer some interesting scenarios. It appeals to me for a couple of reasons:
- Features Spanish (of course)
- Features Plains Indians, e.g. Apache and Navajo, hence an excuse to buy a new range of figures.
- All 300 years before the Plains Indians were fighting the US Army in the Pony Wars.
- Offers both skirmish (Spanish v Pueblos; Spanish v Apache; Pueblos v Apache) and campaign potential (Spanish Conquest; Pueblos Revolt; Apache raid).
