15mm Wargaming Figures for the Thirty Years War
My figures for this period are almost exclusively from Essex Miniatures. I love the fact that Essex have photos of most of their figures on their site. The trouble is the description of the figure is not next to the photo and the figures are not organised by type so it is impossible to see all the similar photos together. This page addresses those problems. The photos are all from the Essex site.

Essex have three cavalry figures that are pure "Spanish". Two of these, the Caballo Corazas, of which are from the 30 Years War period.
The Imperialists began hiring Croat light cavalry in the 16th Century and continued to do so during the 30 Years War. Other nations followed (Bavaria 1631, Spain 1638, France 1635). Hungarians and Polish Cossacks were also employed in the same kind of role.
The French guy is, well, French. He also fits the bill for a Three Musketeers style character.
