Legends of Al-Andalus: A Two Hour Wargame Campaign in Medieval Spain

I was attracted to Legends of Araby by Two Hour Wargames because of the Arabian Nights theme and its reputation for good Solo Wargaming potential via the campaign system. Having purchased these rules I've two problems:
IP
Legends of Al-Andalus is not stand alone. You'll need both Chain Reaction 3.0 Swordplay and Legends of Araby to play this campaign. This is so that Two Hour Wargames get the kudos and revenue due to them.
- Legends of Araby was written in 2003 and the rules do not reflect current thinking as defined by Chain Reaction 3.0 Swordplay (released 2009). In particular Legends of Araby uses d10s and the later games use d6 instead. I like d6.
- I'm more interested in Spanish history so a more apt setting for me is Al-Andalus and the Reconquista.
If, and when, I get time I'll write up my thinking on the Legends of Al-Andalus here. You should start with the historical setting and then have a look at playing the campaign.
